Helping the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Jo Anna Rodgers, from Patterson Fan’s ventilation team, has brought breast cancer awareness to Patterson Fan. Breast cancer, as you know, affects women of all ages. The younger this disease appears, the more virulent it seems to be. Men are not immune either. Jo Anna keeps a steady supply of Pink Medley M&Ms on her desk. Thanks to CharitableGiftGiving.com … “For the month of October only, MyMM.com is selling these beautiful pink M&Ms where 10% of the purchase price will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, with a guaranteed donation of at least $850,000. You can purchase either M&Ms which are pre-printed with ribbon designs and the words “FOR THE CURE”, or you can even add your own custom message. You can buy it in a 7 ounce bag or a 1.75 ounce favor size, great for weddings, parties, and events. The MyM&M’s site allows you to customize M&Ms throughout the year with your own colors and messages. During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, your purchase will go to helping a great cause. It’s the perfect thing to buy if you’ll be hosting or participating in an event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.” Jo Anna wants you to buy a bag–or more and help find a cure!
Last month, as requested by Jo Anna, Patterson Fan Ventilation donated a portable evaporate cooler to a very special local charity auction. Presented by the Chickawa Club, this silent auction raised over $10,000.00. Called, “Help Fuel the Fight against Breast Cancer,” it was held on September 10th, 2009 at the posh Saluda River Club in Lexington SC. The event was hosted by SCE&G Electrical Coop and 100% of the proceeds benefited the First Ladies’ Walk for Life. Patterson Fan was happy that the evaporative cooler brought in over $175.00.
You can reach Jo Anna Rodgers with your ventilation needs atjrodgers@pattersonfan.com or call Monday through Thursday, 8am to 5pm EST at 800-768-3985, ext. 169.

Keeping condensation in control
Many major food companies in the USA producing everything from meats, poultry, canned and frozen goods to candy — utilize Patterson Fans in their arsenal to control condensation. When operating in these specialized environments, Patterson Fans are recommended to be either constructed of galvanized or stainless steel hulls and components–complete with wash down motors for continuous duty.
Food industries also know by adding internal environmental circulation to their mix (including yet not limited to: dehumidifiers, ventilation systems, and temperature controls) condensation can be substantially reduced. Patterson’s high velocity fans circulate air and reduce internal environmental climate differences. By maintaining a uniform indoor air temperature, condensation has less of a chance to form. Patterson Fan’s word of mouth reputation, developed over 20 years providing the best “condensation buster fans,” has added to Patterson’s success within the US food industry. When condensation is a threat, Patterson’s team of regional territory managers know, from years of experience, just which fans and mounts to recommend that will reduce condensation significantly.
The entire industrial line of 14, 18”, 22”, 26”, 30” and 34” high velocity fans are available as corrosion resistant galvanized fans. Galvanized OSHA approved finger guards come standard with the condensation busters along with all fan hardware. Blades are galvalume. Patterson offers the 22” fan for the stainless steel unit. Patterson’s galvanized or stainless steel high velocity fans are extremely economical to operate with a relatively small amount of energy required for each fan.
