Patterson Fan Company donated two pedestal base 14″ high velocity fans this past July to the Moore Humane Society Animal Shelter in Southern Pines, NC. The Moore shelter is not part of the government, receives no government funding and practices “no-kill” philosophies. Moore’s goal to provide pets with loving homes is a big one, obviously. Patterson Fan is happy to be able to provide cool comfort to the pets while they wait for adoption.
Below is an excerpt from Moore’s thank you letter addressed to Jo Anna Rodgers (our ventilation specialist) received August 13, 2009:
“Your contribution helps us provide the best possible care for the lost, sick injured, abused and abandoned animals of Moore County. Please rest assured that your donation will be put to good use and that the Humane Society will continually strive to improve its services to both the citizens of Moore County and its homeless animals.”
Nice to hear that we can make a positive impact.

Patterson Fan Weekly Spotlight: Elizabeth Moore

Elizabeth Moore, Regional Territory Manager
Elizabeth is well rounded when it comes to incorporating her life with business. She earned her Business Administration degree from the University of South Carolina and utilizes her knowledge with managing her Regional Accounts. A self described “non-couch potato,” Elizabeth is not one to slow down. She is key on physical fitness and knows the benefits of keeping a daily work out routine. Her enthusiasm for life and excellent work ethic spills over into her position at Patterson Fan as a Regional Territory Manager. When you contact Elizabeth for your ventilation requirements you can expect prompt service. She is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of ventilation.
On a more personal note, we have watched Elizabeth struggle to get back to health after a leg injury from a motor bike accident – that would have put the average person out of commission – for years. She took the challenge of surgery and recovery head on. Coming in everyday in pain, she kept up the pace and kept up her customer accounts running smoothly. We are happy to say these days Elizabeth is feeling much better! Her laughter is always good to hear!
We are proud to have her as a member of our Patterson Team.
Contact Elizabeth if your business is located in: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Jersey or Washington D.C. elizabeth@pattersonfan.com 800-768-3985 ext. 154

Does the condition of this fan look familiar?
Let’s face it. A lot of us work in dust producing environments. Over time, our fans can accumulate dust build-up on blades, motors, housing and guards. What’s the harm? Dirty blades can be overcome from the weight of the dust knocking them out of balance. Motors can be insulated by debris keeping them from staying as cool as necessary, possibly leading to failure before their time. Finger guards can also be insulated from heavy build-up, keeping air from flowing properly through the fan.
Patterson Fans are designed for easy cleaning. If it is just dust, you should be able to make quick work of it with blasts of high pressure air. If it is an oily dirt and dust combination, use the solvent of choice for your particular material and give it a good old fashioned hand scrubbing. Our guards are easy to remove for just such cleaning. Patterson Fans are built to withstand challenging environments.
