Patterson Catfish
As you walk into our Patterson Fan facility, if you are not familiar with us, you might be surprised at how healthy our environmental eco system is. Every spring, we have hundreds of frogs in our small pond along with very special birds–pipers–that nest on the ground on our front lawn. The little birds create a lot of excitement for those of us who count the days till the babies hatch. Before the big day, we make sure the nests stay safe by protectively placing screens around them.
The biggest surprise for a new Patterson visitor however, besides all the birds, frogs and other animals that live on our front lawn is right out our back door– on company property. It is a large, fully stocked catfish pond. The catfish have been here as long as we have, and those fish are now very, very big. If you go out back with a bag of catfish food–you can call them. The fish will swim to you at the dock, making small tidal waves on the pond’s surface as they come towards you with their massive mouths open– ready for food. For all of our fishermen customers, yes we do cull the pond with semi-annual Patterson Fan fishing tournaments. Our number one fishing tournament champion is Terri Gainey of Accounting. She has an amazing track record of year after year bringing in the biggest fish!
At Patterson Fan, we take environmental health seriously and nothing shows it better than our eco system. We build blue fans green.

Vickie Burbage, no pictures please...
Vickie Burbage began her career as Patterson Fan’s Accounting Manager in January 2005. It is hard to believe we have enjoyed working with her for 5 years now. Not only is she a dedicated detail oriented professional, she has a delightful warm personality and is readily available to help anyone who steps in her office. Vickie is someone you want to run into in the break room. She is a positive person who never has a bad word to say about anyone. And with shopping being one of her favorite things to do–she maintains an up-to-date professional appearance. She is well dressed. Vickie says you can also add decorating to one of her favorite past times.
Vickie Burbage is a graduate of Norfolk State Virginia. She is also a huge Clemson University fan and it shows with her decorating talent. Her office is tastefully arranged with Clemson Tiger memorabilia! Patterson Fan is proud to have Vickie as a member of the team.
As always you can contact Patterson directly Monday thru Friday EST from 8am to 5pm @ 800-768-3985. We are your friends in the ventilation industry.

Darian Valentine, Shipping Supervisor, Patterson Fan
One key to a successful business is knowing how to get your products to the customer efficiently and economically in a fast paced world. You need someone who can establish business relationships within shipping companies that allows them to be aware of the best shipping rates at all given times. You need someone who will continually educate themselves in the evolving shipping environment. And you need someone with an inborn sense of urgency who is goal oriented. Patterson has that person. His name is Darian Valentine. As Darian puts it, “ I am the last stop for product at Patterson; I am responsible for making sure that our customer’s orders are sent out in a timely manner. I have a system that is unbeatable!! I have a personal goal everyday when I walk in the office. Meeting expectations is not enough for me, I always strive to exceed them. I do this on a daily basis to ensure that every product that is placed in the shipping department is sent out to our customers with pride and satisfaction.”
Being a natural goal oriented person, Darian has goals beyond his working environment. He says, “Personal goal for upcoming year: Wow…the list can go on and on…lol..But my major goal is to continue to be the absolute best dad and husband I can possibly be. I believe that faith and family is the foundation for success.”
Darian balances his busy schedule with play too. He is a fan of college football and his team is, as he puts it, “#1 USC Gamecocks!”
Darian also enjoys a hobby most only aspire too–restoring late model cars. Darian says, “My enjoyment with classic cars is to see a car that needs a little TLC and to watch the process from Clunker to a Classy Ride is amazing. My current project is 1973 Oldsmobile Convertible that is sure to be my best work ever.”
We are proud to have Darian Valentine as a member of our Patterson Team! Thank you for helping Patterson be the number one high velocity fan company in the US!

Good times
Mark Christman is one of those people who will make you sit back, and just say “wow.” After sustaining an injury while running, we watched him come in to work day after day in severe back pain, the type of pain that doesn’t let one stand up straight. Yet, despite all of his pain, instead of choosing disability, he managed to get the job done right –with a smile. Thankfully, Mark is much better now, finally giving in and having successful back surgery. He is on the mend!
As Mark puts it, his duties include, “ Shipping, scheduling and purchasing, all in order to maximize our internal efficiencies and to reduce overall product lead time to provide the best customer satisfaction in the industry today.”
Mark’s sports of choice are running, fishing, bow hunting and basketball. He is a big college fan, ranking his home state Michigan #1 followed by his adopted home state, South Carolina #2. He says, “”If they were to ever meet, say at a Bowl Game, I would have to pull for my home state of MI.”
Mark’s personal goal for the coming year is to get back to running 6 miles at lunch. (OK, you can say it–wow.)
Mark loves what he does. He puts it this way, “I certainly feel fortunate to work at a place that after 8 hours you head home to your family. I truly enjoy making our salespeople and customer’s happy with unmatched lead times and strive to make every order ship the same day it is received!!”

Patterson Fan’s high velocity blue fans are known world-wide for superb performance and long-lasting quality.
You might not know–Patterson Fan also carries the same excellent quality large industrial ceiling fans– sizes 8′,10′,12′,14′,16′, 18′ 20′ & 24. Why? Both high velocity and high volume fans have unique applications.
Patterson’s ventilation specialists know to maximize industrial/warehouse environments, blue fans and large industrial ceiling fans work best together. Patterson representatives recommend 6 bladed high volume low-speed ceiling fans (“HVLS”), to circulate large open air masses. 6 blade fans have the advantage of being extremely energy-efficient—(a green leads product) generating significant operational cost savings. HVLS fans are perfect for a variety of applications including, yet not limited to; industrial, commercial, warehouse, sports and agricultural, essentially anywhere there is a large open space in need of air circulation.
Patterson Fan provides HVLS fans that to our knowledge, no other fan moves as much air for so little power. The units work in reverse for summer cooling and winter warming. As far as we know, no other large industrial ceiling fan uses less aluminum, with the benefit of producing a smaller carbon foot print. Patterson HVLS fans are CE certified with available UL listings as requested and come with an outstanding 12 year warranty. See: http://www.pattersonfan.com/HVLSBigceilingfans.html.
Want more info? Nothing beats talking directly to your Patterson representative. Call 800-768-3985 8am to 5pm EST or send us an email. We are your friends in the ventilation business.

Congratulations to Franz Silas, Patterson Fan’s Major Accounts Representative, for posting excellent Blue Fan sales for the past 2 weeks. Patterson Fan customers from our Major Account category have been purchasing 14″ and 18″ blue fans and HVTC’s; high velocity truck coolers. 14″ and 18″ blue fans are being utilized for cooling mezzanines. Truck coolers are going on their dock doors. Patterson’s truck fans are industry leaders, able to cool the hottest truck trailers fast – very fast - with one air change every 54 seconds. See:

Growth in blue fan sales for use in retail distribution centers has been picking up. Good news.

Tomorrow, all of us at Patterson Fan will be sitting down for our annual Thanksgiving luncheon. Each of us will bring something to eat; be it our favorite dish, a highly prized dessert or for those of us without culinary talents– a store-bought pie. (In the South, we prefer sweet potato!) As we sit down enjoying the time we have together, we will be mindful of giving thanks. We will thank all of the hard-working Americans who put long hours in keeping our great nation moving forward – supporting their families, just like we do ours. We will thank all of the branches of the military, their families and friends for keeping our country safe.
Patterson Fans are used all across the United States both in the private sector and the military. We build America’s best quality high velocity fan with hard-working citizens and brave soldiers in mind. Hundreds of original blue fans built 20 years ago are still in operation today. Blue Fan’s dependability is something you can count on.
With almost everyone of us at Patterson Fan knowing someone struggling this Holiday season, we will also be thankful to be able to continue our donations to our charity drives; Harvest Hope Food Bank and Sister Care.

Thank you.
Patterson Fan will be closed for Thanksgiving Day and this Friday - back in business the following Monday. As always, we look forward to your calls throughout the work week 8am to 5pm EST at 800-768-3985.
Enjoy a happy, wonderful Thanksgiving! Your Friends at Patterson Fan.

Paula "Your Not Taking My Picture!" Coutsos
You gotta admit, calling a company and actually hearing a real human voice is the best. Nothing beats it. Not even those recorded voices that try to make you think you are talking to a very pleasant-sounding person–only to realize they’re not! Our real voice is Paula Coutsos, a Patterson Fan dedicated employee for 7 1/2 years. She is family. She is behind most of our charity drives–when it comes to collection and inside marketing. Paula has a talent for making posters, photo boards, signs, baskets and beautiful hand-made bows. Paula adds the human touch inside Patterson as well as when you call in.
Paula is also behind a lot of the inner working of the company. More than the voice of Patterson, Paula serves on the hospitality committee, prepares quotes for sales, keeps our office supplies stocked and many other tasks… everyone comes to Paula for something! She is always busy.
Currently Paula is working on two charity drives. One is collecting food, donations and non perishables for Harvest Hope Food Bank. Harvest Hope is nationally acclaimed with an excellent rating for using the most percentage of funds donated and getting the food needs met for the people of the Midlands. The other is Sister Care of Lexington County. Sister Care works hard in keeping women and children safe from harm in abusive situations.
Paula is another Patterson Fan dog lover from Patterson Fan and currently secretary of her stock club. She is an unbelievably true blue friend who puts the needs of others above her own. You will hear Paula say, “Hello, this is Patterson Fan, how may I direct your call?” Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm EST. Paula–you rock!

Jo Anna Rodgers, Ventilation Account Manager
You know what it is like when you get into work, its sooo early and all you can think about is getting that first cup of coffee? Maybe you’re not in the best of moods and you just need to make things happen. If you are lucky enough, you work with that one person who can come into your office/work space and immediately brighten your mood. That person brings energy into the area and all of a sudden–your day is looking up! Patterson Fan is lucky. Patterson has that person and her name is Jo Anna Rodgers. Jo Anna is extremely intelligent — able to complete a variety of tasks quickly, efficiently and professionally all the while keeping a sunny disposition. Jo Anna works within several departments of Patterson Fan. Ventilation is her number one priority along with operations, customer relations, account management, hospitality and more. Everything she does, she does well. Her efforts are recognized, earning her Patterson’s esteemed “Presidents Award for Significant Group Contribution”.
